*Weapons- Off duty police personnel attending Nationals Park events are permitted to bring their firearm into Nationals Park. Off duty and retired law enforcement attending games must check in with the Joint Operations Center (Main Security) before they enter the park as a fan. They produce their law enforcement credential and one other form of ID, and have their information logged into our Law Enforcement Logbook. The required information includes printed name, signature, agency or department, cell phone number and seating location. Once the logbook entry is made, they are issued a discreet wristband, which lets our MPD officers assigned to the ballpark know that they are armed in the event of any incident.
For all items prohibited from entry into Nationals Park, guests will have the option of utilizing on-site BinBox Lockers, returning the item(s) to their Personal Vehicle, or surrendering the item(s) to Nationals Park security staff. The Washington Nationals will not hold or return any surrendered prohibited item(s) for guests.
