The Tropicana Field has a CLEAR-BAG POLICY, which means only transparent bags are permitted into the ballpark. A clear-bag policy enhances fans’ experience by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of security screening and is a well-established practice at professional sports venues.
Permitted Bags:
One Clear Bag (plastic, vinyl, or soft PVC) without obscured interior pockets, per person
Clear Bag cannot exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
Clear Bag must be a single compartment
Clear Bag may have handles or straps
Plastic Storage Bags (reusable, clear) up to 1-gallon size are acceptable
One Small, Single-Pocket Clutch/Wallet/Fanny Pack is permitted per person
No larger than 5” x 7”
NOT required to be clear or transparent
Item may have a handle or strap
OR – (Exclusive exceptions to the Clear-Bag Policy), per person:
One bag exclusively carrying needed medical equipment
One Diaper/Infant Bag not exceeding 16” x 8” x 16” in the presence of a baby or toddler
Not Permitted:
The following bags and items are specifically NOT approved and are expressly prohibited:
Any non-transparent bag; all bags must be CLEAR
Backpacks, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera bags, briefcases, or similar
Hard-sided bags, boxes, or containers
Fanny packs, clutches, wallets, or any other bag or purse larger than the permissible size of 5” x 7”
Please note that there are no storage options for bags that do not comply with the CLEAR-BAG POLICY. Fans will be asked to return non-compliant bags to their vehicles or denied entry.
